Privacy & Your Data

In plain language, no legal jargon.

What we store

Your Prayer Journeys include the guide answers, progress, submitted and answered dates, and follow-up reflections. These are private to your signed-in account and included when you export or delete your account data.

Your prayer lists, categories, life goals, memory verses, and journal entries are stored with your account, along with the email address you use to sign in. We do not sell your information.

Optional Scripture suggestions

If you select Find Scripture in the optional helper, the text you type in that helper is sent through our server to Google Gemini to suggest Bible references. Your saved prayer, other journal entries, and email address are not included in that request. Avoid names, private medical details, and other identifying information. The app does not save the search text or AI explanations in your account or browser storage. Google processes requests under its own Gemini API terms; provider retention may apply.

Reading a suggested passage sends its Bible reference to the existing ESV service. Only a passage you choose is added to your Prayer Journey. You can always use the manual Scripture picker instead.

Who can see your data

Only you. Every request the app makes is checked against your signed-in session before it's allowed to read or write anything, and it only ever touches your own data — never anyone else's. There's no admin view where someone browses everyone's prayer lists; the only way to see raw data is directly in the database itself, which only the app's administrator can access.

How signing in works

There's no password to remember or to leak. When you enter your email, we send a one-time link that expires in 15 minutes and can only be used once. After that, you stay signed in on that device for about 90 days.

How your data is protected

Will my data ever be lost?

Our database automatically keeps a rolling 30-day history, so accidental data loss (a bug, a mistake, an accidental edit) can typically be recovered. That said, this is a small, independently run project — not a large company with a formal service guarantee. We take reasonable, genuine care, but we can't promise the uptime or support guarantees of a commercial product.

Your data, your control

From inside the app, you can:

Both options are available near the bottom of the app, under your account settings.

Questions

If anything here is unclear, or you'd like your data handled differently, use the "Contact the developer" link in the app — a real person reads and responds to those.
